September 14, 2017 @ approximately 1400 HRS
On Thursday, September 14, 2017 at approximately 1400 HRS, & his mother voluntarily arrived at the Rosemont Police Department to speak with our agency. I along with PSO Piscitelli spoke with and his mother in an interview room on the 4th floor of investigations to obtain a statement. The following is in summary, not verbatim:
related to me that he was present the night in question attending a party on the 9th floor, but uncertain of the exact room number. He arrived at approximately 2100 HRS and left around 0400 HRS. He arrived with his “cousin” . The two of them were dropped off by a female that goes by the name of “Cici”. He doesn’t know her real name, how old she is or where she lives. She also picked them up when they left. When they arrived in the hotel room, there were about 8 people at that time. Quickly, other party goers began arriving in the hotel room.
At approximately 2300 HRS, Kenneka arrived with two female friends. Kenneka did not appear as if she already had been consuming alcohol or anything for that matter. Throughout the party, all in attendance began socializing with one another. From what saw, there was alcohol and marijuana involved, but nothing further. He did not notice Kenneka talking to anybody in particular, nor did he observe anybody bothering her or following her throughout the night. recalls hotel employees knocking on the room door at two different occasions regarding noise complaints coming from that room. They agreed each time to keep the noise down and staff never returned for the remainder of the evening. only knew his cousin Kenneka and her two friends. All others in attendance he did not know or knew nothing about.
Kenneka and her two friends left the room at approximately 0300 HRS. described Kenneka being intoxicated and high from marijuana while the other two friends didn’t even appear as if they were drinking at all. Immediately upon the three exiting the room, two of the friends returned. They stated they forgot the car keys. Kenneka remained in the hallway. The two friends searched the room for approximately 5-10 minutes. They found the car keys and also found Kenneka’s cellphone which was lying in the room unoccupied. They again exited the room into the hallway. They immediately noticed Kenneka was no longer in the hallway. The two informed people in the party that Kenneka was gone. The two friends left the room stating they were going to look for her.
did not take any photos, videos or post to any social media during the night in question to present. He does not know what happened to Kenneka and doesn’t believe anybody at the party would do anything to harm Kenneka.
At approximately 0400 HRS, was picked up by “Cici” and went home.
